Sr IT Engineer Applications – SRE
Job Description
Expert-level experience in diagnosis and debugging of complex performance and intermittent problems. Extensive experience coordinating technical work across multiple teams. Competence in at least one of JavaScript, Java, or Go.
Essential Responsibilities
- Support complex systems that use Azure cloud or on-prem technology such as Unix/Linux, Windows and databases
- Identify problems by scanning logs, systems and customer feedback
- Debug performance and intermittent problems
- System administration (Unix / Windows)
- Code review to triage issues
- SQL understnaind, triage slow performing queries
- Monitor database, admin tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, timeseries data
- Review, write code for monitoring tools using programing languages such as Java, Go, Javascript, Python
- Run proactive triage calls, document results, respond to L4 incident requests
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field and Minimum five (5) years experience in development
- Minimum three (3) years experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of web technology solutions applying Agile/Product methodology
- Minimum two (2) years experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions.
- Minimum three (3) years of development experience with programing languages/framework such as Java, Node.js, Spring framework, Angular, ReactJS, HTML, CSS
- SRE experience in support of complex cloud-native systems: 2+ years
- Lead of technical teams: 3+ years
- Debugging experience of performance and intermittent problems: 3+ years
