Job Description
This position will contribute to the design and maintanace of automation framework for web and webservices applications and provide automation support across quality engineering teams.

- Identifies, defines, and mitigates complex issues, dependencies, and risks related to test automation.
- Understands various automation frameworks and recommends technical aspects of the web, and/or webservices application solution architecture, defining and building a comprehensive strategy for websevices automation.
- Collaborate in defining and reinforcing the test automation standards/guidelines for test automation.
- Assists in the development of the quality assurance (QA) test project strategies, methodologies, and standard processes for moderately to highly complex IT initiatives across multiple QA domains by analyzing business and technology requirements to ensure testability and traceability.
- Troubleshoots and debugs web/webservices at the test automation layer.
- Defines and ensures adherence with entry and exit criteria according to testing standards.
- Explores automation tools and processes to meet the growing demands of the testing needs.
- Identifies process improvements to uplift testing standards, processes and capabilities.
- Generates scheduled reports (e.g., test execution, defects, ad hoc reports) and provides daily test execution metrics to IT teams and management, as appropriate.
- Collaborates with cross-functional IT teams to gain buy-in and approval of test plans, and tracks quality metrics across testing phases.
- Develops quality assurance (QA) project plans, with guidance from senior team members as appropriate, for moderately to highly complex projects by participating in the identification of project scope, work plans, schedules, milestones, critical paths, and ensuring proper staffing.
- Ensures quality metrics for automations are tracked across testing phases.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field and Minimum Five (5) years experience in SQA, software testing or related field. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.In lieu of degree, 3 years of equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement for a total of 8 years.
- Minimum five (5) years experience working with automation testing methodologies.
- Three (3) years experience working with Selenium with Java.
- Minimum two (2) years experience in software or systems programming and/or scripting.
- Minimum one (1) year in an informal lead role working with technical teams.
- Three (3) years experience working with Web Services technologies for system or software testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with leadership (e.g., Manager level and above).
- One (1) year of work experience with Python.
- Two (2) years experience working with US Stakeholders
- Three (3) years experience working in a large matrixed organization.
- Three (3) years experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of software development life cycle(s) (SDLC).
- Two (2) years experience writing technical documentation in a software testing or quality assurance environment.
- Two (2) years experience working on CI/CD DevOps pipeline and tools.
- Two (2) years experience working in healthcare testing environments.
- Two (2) years experience testing business systems applications.
- International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB), Quality Assurance Institute (QAI) or American Society for Quality (ASQ) or similar certification.
