Mid-Level Test Automation Engineer

Job Description

As a Test Automation Engineer you will be a productive member of our team, capable of executing tasks independently with minimal oversight and guidance. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products through comprehensive testing and validation processes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct Functional, Sweep, and Regression testing.
• Create detailed test cases for functionalities and maintain thorough testing coverage records.
• Track, report, and manage defects using Jira throughout the test cycle.
• Use Postman to create data-driven collections for automation testing, including complex validations and assertions.
• Validate data using JSON responses.
• Perform database performance testing on MongoDB and Postgres.
• Write and execute SQL queries to support testing efforts.
• Participate reliably in meetings, stand-ups, and other team commitments.
• Execute assigned tasks diligently, provide regular status updates, and seek clarification when needed to clear blockers.
• Engage proactively in the Agile story writing and planning process by participating in discussions and asking clarifying questions.
• Complete tasks within agreed-upon time frames.

Requirements:

• Experience in Functional, Sweep, and Regression testing.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining test cases and tracking testing coverage.
• Familiarity with Jira for defect tracking and management.
• Proficiency in using Postman for API testing and automation.
• Ability to create complex data-driven collections and perform validations/assertions.
• Experience with JSON for data validation.
• Knowledge of database performance testing on MongoDB and Postgres.
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries.
• Reliable attendance in meetings and stand-ups.
• Strong communication skills for status updates and clarification of unknowns.
• Experience participating in Agile processes, including story writing and planning.
• Proven ability to complete tasks within agreed-upon time frames.
