Job Description
Full-Time, Long-Term Contractor with our direct client, a technology company specializing in cloud solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of development, staging, and production environments on AWS.
- Resolve the most complex technical issues related to AWS cloud infrastructure, serving as an escalation point for L1 and L2 support.
- Design and implement advanced serverless architecture and services on AWS such as Lambda, Fargate, EBS, Glue, etc.
- Utilize and optimize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
- Oversee the management and troubleshooting of Windows and Linux machines, Kubernetes, Git, etc.
- Manage and optimize servers, networks, containers, storage, and database services on AWS.
- Perform in-depth performance monitoring and optimization of AWS resources.
- Ensure robust security measures and compliance for AWS cloud infrastructure, including firewalls, security groups, and access controls.
- Develop and implement comprehensive backup and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
- Conduct root cause analysis for complex incidents and implement permanent resolutions.
- Create, review, and maintain detailed documentation for AWS infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead and manage large-scale cloud projects with end-to-end execution.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to L1 and L2 support teams.
- Implement and manage AWS messaging, streaming, and queuing services (MSK, Kinesis, SQS, SNS, MQ).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive cloud initiatives and ensure seamless integration.
Requirements:
- Advanced English proficiency.
- 6+ years of experience in providing senior-level support and expertise for the design, deployment, and maintenance of AWS cloud solutions.
- Extensive experience with AWS services such as CloudFormation, EC2, RDS, VPC, EKS, ECS, Redshift, Glue, etc.
- Strong understanding of networking, serverless architecture, and cloud-native application design.
- In-depth knowledge of database concepts including data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL jobs.
- Proven track record of leading complex cloud projects and initiatives.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional.
- Flexible to work in US business hours shift.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of AWS serverless services such as Lambda, Fargate, EBS, Glue, etc.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux machines, Kubernetes, and Git.
- Familiarity with AWS messaging, streaming, and queuing services (MSK, Kinesis, SQS, SNS, MQ).
