Job Description

We are seeking a frontend engineer with deep frontend expertise to join our software engineering team and shape the future of our data and insight platform. You will be working with highly motivated and extremely talented engineers with quality, performance, and scale in mind at every step of the way.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Join one of our software engineering teams, working in a co-located and distributed remote/hybrid team.
  • Practice continuous delivery with two-week scrum cycles.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers.
  • Define the vision of the services and prioritize projects as part of team ownership of systems.
  • Implement user interfaces that delight customers by solving real-world problems.
  • Consume RESTful and GraphQL services.
  • Advocate for excellent UX principles.
  • Implement responsive designs.
  • Apply networking concepts related to building web-based services and browser interactions, such as CORS.
  • Translate customer context and broad product requirements into simple and elegant solutions.

Requirements

  • HTML, CSS & Javascript: 5+ years of experience.
  • Material UI, Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS or equivalent framework: 5+ years of experience.
  • React + NextJS: 3+ years of experience.
  • Typescript: 3+ years of experience.
  • Node: 2+ years of experience.
  • Databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB): Basic understanding, 1+ years of experience.
  • GraphQL: 1+ year of experience.
  • PHP or equivalent server-side scripting language (Perl, Ruby, Python, etc): Basic understanding, 1+ year of experience.
  • English Level: B2+ / C1

Desirable Skills

  • Strong passion for implementing user interfaces that delight customers by solving real-world problems.
  • Hands-on experience with implementing responsive designs.
  • Hands-on experience consuming RESTful and GraphQL services.
  • Excellent understanding of UX principles and a willingness to advocate for them.
  • Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience with networking concepts related to building web-based services and browser interactions, such as CORS.
  • Ability to understand customer context and broad product requirements, translating them into simple and elegant solutions.
