Job Description

This is an intermediate role within the IT Application Engineering job family, focused on delivering technical solutions through development, testing, and integration. The Application Platform Engineer will be responsible for unit testing, integration testing, and documenting solutions on Confluence. The role involves managing multiple technology stacks, executing projects, and operating applications. Additionally, the engineer will assist in the development of new processes and provide operational support for various platforms.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operational Support: Provide support for products including F5, AEM, Akamai, Sitespect, and Certificate Manager.
  • Automation: Automate the monitoring aspects of the platform and the Plug and Play components of the KP.org environments.
  • Environment Support: Provide Chaos and Disaster Recovery (DR) support for non-production environments.
  • Code Deployment: Responsible for code deployments and automation for Web Services and Adobe services.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with squads, environment teams, build engineers, infra-engineers, and third-party teams for build and deployment activities.
  • ITSM Support: Manage ITSM processes including change management, incident management, and problem management for the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in software development or a related area.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, equivalent work experience of three (3) years may be substituted, totaling six (6) years of experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience working on Infrastructure/Platform delivery using Waterfall, Agile, or other software development methods.
  • Experience with the following technologies: Big-IP F5 for load balancing, Big-IP F5 with iRules development, Nginx, Akamai Technologies, Sitespect (A/B Testing, Personalization, and Server-Side Testing), and Certificate Management.
  • Required skills include Ansible development and Jenkins pipeline development.
  • Broad knowledge of security and compliance, caching concepts, Docker containers, Jenkins Kubernetes operations, disaster recovery, and load balancing approaches.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in multiple web technologies.
