Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. The Power BI Developer will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, design data models, create insightful reports and dashboards, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of data visualization. This role is critical in helping the organization make data-driven decisions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and define reporting requirements.
  • Design and implement data models, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
  • Optimize Power BI solutions for performance and scalability.
  • Integrate Power BI with various data sources, including SQL databases, data warehouses, and other BI tools.
  • Create and maintain documentation for BI solutions, including data models, report specifications, and data sources.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Power BI solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and industry best practices to continuously improve BI solutions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business intelligence development, with a focus on Power BI.
  • Proven experience in developing complex reports and dashboards in Power BI.
  • Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data visualization best practices.
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience with data integration tools and techniques (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with other BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView, or similar.
  • Experience with cloud-based data services, particularly Azure.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or R for data manipulation.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
