Job Description
This senior level individual contributor is primarily responsible for managing and maintaining the technology catalog and operating model. This contributor should fully understand the EA discipline and operational role technology standards and data cataloging play in a large, matrixed organization. This role includes identifying and executing technology catalog process improvement based on stakeholder feedback. This contributor should have extensive expertise in technology data cataloging and IT governance processes (e.g., technology catalog management, standards management, standards rationalization, stakeholder management, process improvement, process automation, data cataloging)

- Executes the architecture process for technology solutions with guidance from senior architects as appropriate by collaborating with other architects to develop the target state.
- Collaborates with project teams and business users to create architecture artifacts (for example, logical, conceptual, physical) to guide detailed design.
- Helps determine the selection of technologies based on EA’s technology catalog, including making updates as new technologies are approved.
- Provides input into the development of the architecture strategy and technology direction by providing domain knowledge on available solutions and technology in EA’s technology catalog.
- Shares knowledge of current capability gaps, architectural gaps, and market and industry trends that can be used to set future direction.
- Defines and communicates the architecture standards, guidelines, and statements of direction with guidance from senior architects, as appropriate, by facilitating the design and establishment of architecture standards or controls in EA’s technology catalog.
- Ensures architecture standards or controls in EA’s technology catalog allow business needs to be met.
- Provides technical troubleshooting and research on any issues with the Servicenow service management, Servicenow IRM and SoftwareAG(KP IT Catalog – ATLAS).
- Assists in the development and establishment of architectural best practices that guide the design of technology solutions.
- Collaborates with IT and business leadership and participates in making decisions regarding the adoption of new technology and ongoing process improvement in the use of EA’s technology catalog.
- Demonstrates a full understanding of the architecture best practices and educates others throughout the organization on the function of architecture methodologies, governance, and standards by serving as a subject matter expert across business and/or IT teams, and presenting to internal and external audiences.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, Business, or related technical field and Minimum six (6) years IT experience delivering technical solutions, including at least Minimum two (2) years working on projects related to IT architecture. Additional equivalent work experience of 3 years may be substituted for the degree requirement, for a total of 9 years experience.
- Three (3) years SME experience with technology data cataloging and IT governance processes (e.g., technology catalog management, standards management, standards rationalization, stakeholder management, process improvement, process automation, data cataloging)
- Two (2) years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above)
- Two (2) years of experience influencing enterprise scale decisions, and partnering with stakeholders in Fortune 500 or equivalent.
Additional Requirements
- This contributor should also be very technical with a good understanding of technology concepts, as they will play a crucial role in identifing where technology solutions correctly belong in the catalog.
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above)
- Two (2) years of work experience in SoftwareAG, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Microsoft Power Platform, UiPath
- Two (2) years experience establishing and documenting strategies, standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Two (2) years operating as a subject matter expert in technology data cataloging.
- One (1) years experience working with emerging technologies (e.g., AI)
- Two (2) years experience with process improvement, process flow charting, and RPA
- One (1) year experience with modeling techniques (e.g.C4, BPM, UML, ER).
- Three (3) years experience working in a large matrixed organization.
- Two (2) years experience working with IT vendors.
- Two (2) years experience architecting, designing, and implementing enterprise-scale, high volume, high availability systems.
- One (1) year of cross-domain IT architecture experience.
- One (1) year experience working with Enterprise Architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF or Zachman.
- Three (3) years experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
- One (1) year experience with commercial off-the-shelf package integration.
- One (1) year data architecture experience.
- One (1) year application architecture experience.
- One (1) year infrastructure architecture experience.
- One (1) year information security experience.
- One (1) year experience working with health systems.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS, or related field.
