Job Description

In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this senior technical leader position is responsible for driving the development of complex applications for Android and/or iOS devices by selecting and refining Agile methodologies to design and implement new customer-facing features; leveraging partnerships with product management and UX teams to create fun, easy-to-use client applications which maximize the user experience; and establishing KP mobile device security policies, and standards. This position will also be responsible for ensuring the optimization of applications and collaborating with IT partners to drive on-time and on-budget application delivery; and serving as a lead subject matter expert in the development of the overall architecture for KP’s mobile technologies.                           

Essential Responsibilities                                           

Drives the execution of multiple work streams by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and updating new procedures and policies; gaining cross-functional support for objectives and priorities; translating business strategy into actionable business requirements; obtaining and distributing resources; setting standards and measuring progress; removing obstacles that impact performance; guiding performance and developing contingency plans accordingly; solving highly complex issues; and influencing the completion of project tasks by others.                                                            

Basic Qualifications:                                      

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field and eight (8) years experience in software development or a related field.
  • Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement (In lieu of Bachelor’s Degree additional 3 years related work experience will be required) for a total of 11 years experience.                                       
  • Minimum six (6) years experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions development life cycles (e.g., SDLC).                                       
  • Minimum four (4) years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.                         
  • Minimum seven (7) years experience  developing and/or implementing native mobile applications.                                                                            

Preferred Qualifications                                              

  • Two (2) years working with location technology (e.g., real time location services, beacons).            
  • Four (4) years experience working with mobile development or dev ops tools and technologies (e.g., Jenkins, SonarQube, JUnit, XCTest, Gradle, Cocoa Pods, etc.).                                        
  • Four (4) years experience in test-driven development.                                    
  • Four (4) years experience in the development and integration of third-party source code or libraries.         
  • Four (4) years experience integrating API/services.                                           
  • Five (5) years experience applying Scrum development practices.                                               
  • Five (5) years experience programming Java/Kotlin for the Android platform.                                        
  • Five (5) years experience programming Objective-C or Swift in iOS.                                            
  • Two (2) years experience developing automated tests using XCUITest/Espresso.                                  
  • Two (2) years experience developing automated tests using a mobile device cloud (e.g., Perfecto Mobile, etc.).                                               
  • Three (3) years of work experience with CMS such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).                
  • Three (3) years of work experience with Cloud platforms such as Azure or IBM websphere application server.                                               
  • Five (5) years experience working with native mobile app DevOps continuous integration tools and technologies.                                    
  • Four (4) years experience working with native mobile app signing and build variants (e.g., Provisioning Profiles, Entitlements, Distribution Certificates, Xcode Scheme and Configuration, Android build types and flavors, etc.).                                               
  • Four (4) years experience working with native mobile app build tools.                                      
  • Four (4) years experience working with native mobile app dependency management tools (e.g.,Gradle, Cocoa Pods, Swift Package Manager, Maven, etc.).                                         
  • Four (4) years experience working with native mobile app distribution technologies.                         
  • Four (4) years experience developing HIPAA/PCI compliant applications.
