Job Description
Full-Time, Long-Term Contractor with our direct client, a technology company specializing in cloud solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide level 2 support to build, design, deploy, and maintain cloud solutions on AWS.
- Implement, deploy, and maintain development, staging, and production environments on AWS.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to cloud instances that level 1 support cannot resolve.
- Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of cloud instances.
- Configure and deploy cloud instances to meet specified requirements.
- Manage security measures for cloud instances, including firewalls, security groups, and access controls.
- Ensure backup procedures are correctly implemented and that disaster recovery plans are in place and tested regularly.
- Apply patches and updates to cloud instances to ensure security and compliance.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for incidents escalated from level 1 support.
- Create and maintain documentation for cloud instance configurations, issues, and resolutions.
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline operations.
- Work closely with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless support and integration of cloud instances.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
- Work with serverless architecture and services on AWS such as Lambda, Fargate, EBS, Glue, etc.
- Manage and troubleshoot Windows and Linux machines, Kubernetes, Git, etc.
- Set up and manage AWS messaging, streaming, and queuing services (MSK, Kinesis, SQS, SNS, MQ).
Requirements:
- Advanced English proficiency.
- 3+ years of experience in providing level 2 support to build, design, deploy, and maintain cloud solutions on AWS.
- Extensive experience with AWS services such as CloudFormation, EC2, RDS, VPC, EKS, ECS, Redshift, Glue, etc.
- Strong understanding of serverless architecture and networking concepts.
- Knowledge of database concepts including data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL jobs.
- Flexible to work in US business hours shift.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of AWS serverless services such as Lambda, Fargate, EBS, Glue, etc.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux machines, Kubernetes, and Git.
- Familiarity with AWS messaging, streaming, and queuing services (MSK, Kinesis, SQS, SNS, MQ).
