Job Description

As a member of our Cloud Engineering team, you will work with fast-paced, innovative companies, leveraging Cloud technology as the key driver of their transformation. You will act as a trusted advisor to our clients, guiding them on their journey with Google Cloud. Your role will cover a broad spectrum of technology topics, including infrastructure as code, application modernization through containerization, serverless platforms, CI/CD, cloud networking, and data analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them leverage Google Cloud for their digital transformation.
  • Cover a wide range of technology topics, including infrastructure as code, application modernization, serverless platforms, CI/CD, cloud networking, and data analytics.
  • Utilize a variety of tools, primarily Google Cloud, Hashicorp portfolio, and Kubernetes, to meet client needs.
  • Think objectively about client requirements and select the right tools and processes based on first principles reasoning.
  • Demonstrate innovative approaches to solving problems and share these with the team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with a major public cloud platform, preferably Google Cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with common DevOps tools and practices.
  • Excellent technical skills in at least one of the following areas:
  • Linux system administration
  • Networking (data center and cloud)
  • MySQL or other Database Administration
  • Experience working with traditional data center environments and technologies (e.g., VMware, physical servers, storage arrays, networks/firewalls).
  • Preferred experience in migrating applications from a data center environment to a public cloud.
  • Ability to write scripts and automate tasks in at least one programming language.
  • Comfortable with video meetings, both internally and with clients.
  • Conversational proficiency in English.

  • Advanced proficiency in additional cloud platforms or technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
