Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our client’s Global Data Science & Analytics team. Armed with advanced analytics skills, this position will be responsible for supporting their clients’ business questions via data analysis and reporting. This position will report to the Sr. Director / Director of Data Science & Analytics. This is a fully remote and full-time position from Costa Rica, in payroll with benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a variety of digital and traditional commerce and marketing data sources to deliver data driven analyses with actionable insights and recommendations for our clients.
  • Develop reports and custom analysis using Python, R, Snowflake, SQL, Excel and other tools based on specifications provided by the client or the client analytical lead.
  • Work closely with members of the larger analytics organization on cross-functional analytic projects.
  • Develop repeatable/scalable source code to streamline standard report creation processes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand client needs and provide custom reporting & visualization solutions.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to implement statistical analysis and/or predictive modelling techniques to client ad-hoc requests.
  • Ability to disseminate insights using data visualization tools.
  • Exceptional attention-to-detail with the ability to meet aggressive deadlines. We move at a fast pace and generally have 3-5 projects going at any one time.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. The findings from data mining and analyses are no good if you can’t present it in an effective and organized fashion.
  • High focus on quality control and the ability to self-check and prove your work is accurate.

Desired Background

  • Information Systems / BS Engineering / Operations Research / Industrial Engineering / Statistics / Mathematics / Physics or similar quantitative disciplines with 5+ years of experience. MS degree holders in these disciplines with 2+ years of experience will also be considered.
  • 3-5 years of analytic programming experience in a similar role leveraging Python, R, SQL, SAS for data analysis. Experience working in Retail/ECOM CRM Databases a plus!
  • Advanced SQL Knowledge and experience with Snowflake and Oracle DB environments a plus along with Tableau for Visualizations.
  • Work experience in Retail / Ecommerce /Consulting / Engineering / Healthcare / Engineering / Financial Services / Advertising / Marketing is attractive.
