What’s Unique About This Job (What You’ll Do)

The Enterprise Architect Director leads the development, maintenance, and governance of the enterprise architecture (EA) across the organization. In this role, you will design holistic solutions that integrate people, processes, data, and technology while defining the EA review process. The role ensures that technology solutions align with business strategies, driving agility, scalability, and innovation. You will lead the creation of EA programs, ensuring they address business challenges and maintain governance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architecture Strategy & Program Development

  • Lead the creation or evolution of the enterprise architecture function/program, aligning it with business goals and IT strategies.
  • Define and maintain the EA roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and future growth strategies.
  • Oversee the EA process by promoting outcomes and results to IT and business leaders through architecture workshops, summits, and structured communications.

2. Solution Design & Technology Integration

  • Lead the design of enterprise-wide technology solutions that integrate cloud infrastructure, data analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, DOMO), and security frameworks.
  • Drive the adoption of emerging technologies such as AI/ML, automation, and advanced analytics to enhance operational efficiency and enable real-time decision-making.
  • Oversee the implementation of automation processes using CI/CD pipelines, RPA, and API-driven integrations, ensuring scalable and efficient solutions.

3. Governance & Compliance

  • Establish governing principles for EA processes, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards and industry regulations such as ISO 27001 and GDPR.
  • Ensure all architecture initiatives adhere to enterprise-wide security, scalability, and resilience standards through architecture review boards and regular audits.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure architectural alignment, identifying when modifications are necessary to accommodate evolving project needs.
  • Partner with IT leaders, business units, and external stakeholders to ensure technology investments align with organizational objectives.

Technology Domain

  • Cloud Infrastructure: Architect scalable, integrated cloud solutions (AWS, Azure) alongside on-premise systems to enhance agility, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Data & Analytics: Lead the design and optimization of data management platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AI/ML), ensuring efficiency in data flows to support real-time analytics.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to frameworks like ISO 27001, GDPR, and SOC 2, embedding security into the enterprise architecture.
  • Automation & Integration: Lead the integration of automation technologies (RPA, CI/CD) to streamline communication and processes across platforms.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience: 8-10 years of experience in enterprise architecture, including expertise in cloud, data, and security solutions.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AWS, Azure, Snowflake, ISO 27001, RPA, and CI/CD.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence senior leadership, and drive architectural strategies.
