Job Description

We are  looking for a Front End Developer – Experience Optimization to work with a major eCommerce client company. You will be responsible for the development of website experience optimizations and personalizations in coordination with Digital Experience and Digital Merchandising Team objectives to deliver continuous improvement and customer delight. You will contribute to an overall optimization execution strategy for fine-tuning a first-class customer experience. This is a fully remote and full-time position from Costa Rica, in payroll with benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Experience Module Management

  • Adobe Target: Understanding of Adobe Target’s interface, tools, functionalities, and delivery mechanisms for creating and managing offers and recommendations.
  • A/B Testing: Experience with A/B testing methodologies to create multi-faceted experiments that drive digital product innovation.
  • Experience with Recommendations: Knowledge of setting up the recommendation engine within Adobe Target, including the ability to define criteria and choose algorithms best suited for business goals.
  • Personalization Strategies: Knowledge of personalization data capture techniques to tailor content to different user segments.
  • Performance Analysis: Ability to capture and analyze performance metrics to optimize experience delivery to ensure no perceived interruption of journeys or reduction in site performance.
  • APIs and Integrations: Familiarity with integrating Adobe Target with other Adobe Experience Cloud products and third-party systems via APIs.

Site Operations

  • Works with User Experience, Content, Developer, and QA Teams to produce optimization experiences that blend cohesively with the existing site style and function.
  • Adept at sizing new projects for estimation and prioritization purposes.
  • Helps to identify technical feasibility of requirements while calling out gaps and raising issues accordingly.
  • Works effectively across departments to translate eCommerce strategies into prioritized test and execution plans.
  • Manages test activity deployment schedule in conjunction with Development and Developer Operations Teams
  • Familiar with creating custom visitor tracking within test experiences that facilitate in-depth test outcome reporting.
  • Makes suggestions on opportunities for creative, merchandising, structural, and user interface improvements based on the outcome of tests.
  • Trains and guides Merchandising Specialists to execute pre-tested reusable templated tests and personalized experiences, and to independently fine-tune and deploy product recommendations.

Supervisory Relationships

      • Reports to Associate Development Manager.

Organizational Relationships

      •  Works with Digital Merchandising, UX Design, Front-End Development, PIM, and Dev Ops teams to collaborate website optimization activities.

      • Occasional support contact with management personnel in other business groups, including Interiors.

Requirements

  • HTML/CSS: Proficiency in HTML and CSS for designing and styling user interface elements, experience fragments, and modules.
  • Responsive Design: Knowledge of responsive design principles to ensure offers and recommendations work across different devices and screen sizes.
  • JavaScript: Strong knowledge of JavaScript to create interactive and dynamic experiences that interact with, extend or replace existing experiences. Adept at DOM manipulation and working with JavaScript objects.
  • W3C and WCAG: Experienced in writing front-end code to industry standards and guidelines to ensure adaptability, flexibility, and accessibility.
  • Effective Work Reuse: Foresight and planning ability to build reusable components and front-end libraries for future reuse
  • Performance Analysis: Ability to analyze performance metrics to optimize experience design to ensure no perceived interruption of experiences or reduction in site performance.
  • Marketing Concepts: Understanding of digital marketing concepts and user experience to create compelling offers. Have sound reasoning and track record for predicting which tests will yield value for development and design learnings.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to independently and cooperatively troubleshoot complex issues and optimize performance.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate with Digital Marketing, UX, PIM, and other Product Teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Effectively manage relationships with 3rd-party vendors where needed.
  • Project Management: Skills in managing projects, timelines, and deliverables for efficient execution. Experience working on agile teams and using application lifecycle management tools like Jira.
  • Version Control Systems: Proficiency in using version control systems like Git for collaborative development.
  • Security and Privacy Best Practices: Awareness of security practices and privacy protocols to ensure the safety and integrity of customer information.
  • Specific Technology Expertise

a.  Experience using RESTful APIs.

b. Experience consuming code specifications from a design platform such as Figma or inVision.

 Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar.
  • Experience working with UX prototyping platforms like InVision or Axure.
  • Experience working with a manufacturer or reseller of durable consumer goods in a Digital Sales Channel.
  • Familiarity with React.js and Next.js a plus.
