Job Description
Technical Requirements:
Database Administration:
- Oracle: Installation, configuration, and administration of Oracle Database, including Oracle RAC, DataGuard, and RMAN.
- SQL Server: Configuration and administration of SQL Server, including Always On and Microsoft Cluster.
- Experience in on-premise environments: Linux, Windows, and AIX.
Cloud Administration:
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI): Configuration and administration of databases and services in OCI.
- AWS: Management of databases and services in AWS, including RDS and other related services.
- Azure: Administration of databases and services in Azure, including Azure SQL Database and other data services.
Security and Compliance:
- Implementation of security practices to protect data and secure communications.
- Knowledge of compliance policies and best security practices in the cloud.
Automation and Scripting:
- Experience in scripting for automating administrative tasks (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
- Use of CI/CD tools for deployment and management of databases and services in the cloud.
Monitoring:
- Use of internal or third-party monitoring tools (Site24x7, Oracle Enterprise Manager).
- Monitoring procedures and processes, and managing controls for ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and SOC2 compliance.
On-Call and Support:
- Availability for periodic on-call support, including incident resolution and proactive maintenance.
