Manager, Content Operations & Production

Job Description

We are seeking a Manager, Content Operations & Production to lead and manage the content operations and production teams. This role will be responsible for driving the digital production of content, applying advanced strategies to create, manage, release, and publish content across multiple platforms. The manager will oversee both nearshore and offshore teams, ensuring efficient and timely content delivery. Additionally, this leader will focus on process improvement initiatives, resolving complex production issues, and maintaining strong collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure content management aligns with best practices. Leadership and people management skills will be crucial for success in this role.

Essential Responsibilities

• Manages the digital production of content by applying advanced strategies to build, create, manage, release, and/or publish content within content management system(s); coordinating workflow tasks and overall processes to ensure optimal performance while also addressing problems; resolving complex production content incidents in a timely manner throughout the publication and post-production process; determining defect fixes, enhancements, and maintenance changes within content management systems; managing user acceptance testing (UAT); partnering with engineering and content architecture teams to ensure content management strategies align with best practices; and triaging and resolving complex defects logged by quality assurance teams.               
• Lead coordination with key stakeholders for each content initiative to ensure efficient and timely delivery of digital content. Present drafts, concepts and strategies to leadership, project team, and other stakeholders, integrating feedback and driving alignment.  Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and UX designers.                                      
• Accountable for overall performance of content production and operations teams (SLAs, Quality, Customer Satisfaction)
• Lead nearshore and offshore production teams.

• Support team members in interpreting and executing ambiguous or advanced work                                                         

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, or related field AND minimum six (6) years of experience in user experience, digital content management, technical architecture, content management system (CMS) engineering, or a directly related field.
• Additional equivalent work experience of three (3) years in a directly related field, for a total of nine (9) years, may be substituted for the degree requirement. Advanced degrees may be substituted for a portion of the work experience requirements.                                     
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports.                                                                                                                                                                  

Licenses and Certifications                                                       

• Trained in AEM – must receive certification within 6 months of hire; trained in PMP or equivalent product management methodology (Agile, SCRUM).                                                           ”                                                          

Preferred Qualifications                                                  

• Two (2) years supervisory experience
• Four (4) years experience working for a health care organization
• Four (4) years experience working for an IT organization
• Three (3) years experience working on projects or programs requiring the integration of cross-functional technology and/or business solutions.
• Five (5) years experience in workflow analysis, including the use of modeling software (e.g., Visio).
• Four (4) years in a leadership role working with project or technical teams.
• Three (3) years experience managing cross-functional project teams
• Four (4) years experience in business case development and analysis
• Two (2) years managing operating budgets and/or project financials.
• Two (2) years experience managing vendor relationships.
• Two (2) years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with executive leadership (e.g., Vice President level and above)
• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS or related field
