Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Oracle Analytics Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement advanced analytics solutions using Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC). This role requires deep expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization to enable self-service analytics and deliver actionable business insights. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, architect solutions, and ensure data quality and performance across analytics platforms. This is a fully remote and full-time position from Costa Rica, in payroll with benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Data Modeling: Design and maintain scalable data models (e.g., star and snowflake schemas) to support reporting and analytical requirements.
  • ETL Development: Design and implement ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data into Oracle Analytics environments from diverse data sources.
  • Semantic Layer Management: Build and manage semantic layers and logical data models to enable self-service analytics capabilities.
  • Dashboard & Report Development: Create intuitive, interactive dashboards and reports in Oracle Analytics Cloud for effective data visualization and storytelling.
  • SQL Development: Write optimized SQL queries for data access, transformation, and performance tuning.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate reporting needs into technical specifications.
  • Performance Optimization: Tune data queries and optimize ETL processes to ensure high performance and efficiency.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across systems.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside data engineers, analysts, and business teams to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) including report and dashboard development.
  • Strong background in data modeling(both relational and dimensional).
  • Proficient in SQL for querying, analysis, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or R for data analysis and automation tasks.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cloud-based data platforms or data warehouses.
  • Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
  • Certification in Oracle Analytics or related technologies.
