Job Description
This senior-level role leads quality assurance efforts across consumer-facing digital products, providing both strategic oversight and hands-on testing for web and mobile applications. As part of a specialized, cross-functional team, this role helps shape a scalable quality services framework—defining testing scope, ensuring certification standards, and integrating quality early into delivery processes. Responsibilities include managing QA planning across multiple project releases, executing complex test scenarios, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring testing efforts align with business, brand, and UI/UX standards.
Essential Responsibilities
Testing Strategy & Oversight
- Define testing scope and strategy across digital product releases, aligning with business goals, technical complexity, and timelines.
- Lead the development and implementation of QA methodologies, standards, and test approaches for complex initiatives (e.g., UI/UX, ADA, AI, content, regression, compliance, and certification).
- Review and approve test strategies and plans, ensuring alignment with quality standards, platform requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure consistent application of entry and exit criteria across projects and teams.
Team Leadership & Delegation
- Mentor, coach, and guide junior QA team members, fostering continuous learning and growth.
- Delegate tasks effectively based on team capacity, project complexity, and delivery risk.
- Conduct peer reviews and provide actionable feedback to improve test quality and standards.
- Solve complex QA problems; escalate risks and issues appropriately.
- Model self-leadership by adapting to competing demands, responding to feedback, and influencing cross-functional teams.
Project Alignment & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align QA activities with release planning and delivery goals.
- Represent QA in cross-functional planning sessions, offering testability and risk insights early in the project lifecycle.
- Validate business processes, data requirements, and environment readiness for testing and certification.
- Identify and escalate testing-related risks and gaps, proposing mitigation plans to stakeholders.
Execution & Reporting
- Lead test execution across all QA phases including UAT, accessibility, multivariate testing, and production validation.
- Contribute hands-on testing efforts, applying expertise across functional, UI/UX, ADA, regression, and content validation areas on web and mobile platforms (iOS, iPadOS, Android) and mobile application certification on physical devices.
- Maintain reusable test plans, test cases, and scenarios for manual and automated coverage.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks for UI, functional, and end-to-end testing.
- Ensure mobile testing and certification meet platform-specific standards, brand expectations, and accessibility requirements.
- Track quality metrics across releases, monitor test coverage, and report defect trends and readiness indicators.
- Generate and present QA reports, dashboards, and risk assessments to leadership.
- Keep Jira and test management tools up to date with accurate test progress, blockers, and resolutions.
Process Improvement & Strategic Contribution
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance QA efficiency, scalability, and coverage across product lines.
- Promote best practices in test case reusability, traceability, automation, and healthcare data management.
- Collaborate with QA leadership to evolve onboarding materials, reusable templates, and team toolkits.
- Support QA resource planning, helping assess team capacity and project needs.
- Contribute to the formalization and continuous improvement of the quality services framework through scalable, repeatable processes and shared standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field and Minimum eight (8) years experience in SQA, softwaretesting or related field. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Minimum 5 years Automation engineering – framework development & maintainance in Selenium, Eclipse IDE, Selenium, and/or Applitools
- 5+ years experience in various testing strategies including Graphical User Interface (GUI), User Aceptance Testing (UAT), Integration & Functional testing
- Minimum two (2) years in a lead role working with technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above)
- Three (3) years experience in a leadership role of a large matrixed organization.
- Three (3) years experience working with IT vendors.
- Four (4) years experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of software development life cycle(s) (SDLC).
- Three (3) years experience writing technical documentation in a software testing or quality assurance environment.
- Two (2) years in AI prompt engineering or prompt tuning
- Two (2) years in AEM Content Management
