Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled HCM Systems Admin Consultant to lead the support and enhancement of Oracle HCM applications. The consultant will work closely with HR teams, IT leaders, users, and vendors to provide operational support and perform advanced system configurations. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving complex issues, maintaining performance, supporting change management, and ensuring accurate system documentation. This role also oversees vendor performance and ensures adherence to service level standards.
Essential Responsibilities
- Ensure delivery of effective, sustainable solutions within timelines.
- Plan and perform advanced system configurations.
- Collaborate with technical and project leaders to address application-specific issues.
- Communicate with users and vendors to improve services and prioritize requirements.
- Oversee first and second level support by troubleshooting complex incidents.
- Provide technical and application support for production and non-production environments.
- Lead software change implementations and conduct impact analyses.
- Escalate unresolved or critical issues to engineers or leadership.
- Lead resolution efforts for Service Improvement Plans (SIPs).
- Partner with Production Support Operations to assess vendor performance.
- Hold vendor teams accountable to SLA, KPI, and performance standards.
- Guide vendor compliance with KP-ITIL operational standards.
- Identify operational issues and provide vendors with feedback and support.
- Monitor and improve system stability, availability, and performance across domains.
- Maintain and update application documentation.
- Develop preventative guidelines for recurring issues.
- Recommend and execute performance tuning and optimizations.
- Evaluate new application packages and anticipate system needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- (8) years in IT/Operations or 11 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- (5) years of experience supporting full application lifecycle in production environments.
- (4) years of both technical and functional experience with Oracle HCM Cloud, HCM Extracts, Oracle BI Publisher (BIP), and integrations.
- (2) years in a lead role with IT or operational teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- (5) years administering and customizing large enterprise applications.
- (5) years writing system administration documentation or SOPs or supporting their creation.
- (3) years in a leadership role in a matrixed organization.
- (3) years working with IT vendors.
- (2) years of experience interacting with senior leadership.
- Strong skills in client interaction, requirements gathering, and providing tailored solutions.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
