Job Description
This individual contributor is responsible for guiding and influencing the development of a formal Global Quality Services Framework and for supporting the development of software quality assurance test strategies. This senior leadership position is responsible for guiding and supporting accessibility testing for web application across multiple teams.

- Leads the development of quality assurance (QA) test project strategies, methodologies, and standard processes for large-scale, complex IT initiatives spanning all QA domains by analyzing business and technology requirements to ensure testability and traceability, and determining testing scope and approach.
- Oversees and addresses critical issues, dependencies, and risks related to WCAG checklists.
- Work with Product Designers and Developers to bring defects to resolution.
- Assist with training functional QA testers to perform accessibility testing.
- Coordinate with the central Digital Accessibility Program team when they need assistance validating or prioritizing defects; and to communicate the status of accessibility defects in each iteration.
- Ensures quality metrics are tracked across testing phases and socialized as needed.
- Manages the review and validation of testable business processes, test data, and test environment requirements.
- Develops quality assurance (QA) project plans for moderately to highly complex projects by identifying project scope, work plans, schedules, milestones, and critical paths, and ensuring proper staffing.
- Develops guidelines and best practices to ensure test plans and timelines are aligned with project/program milestones.
- Defines and ensures adherence with entry and exit criteria according to Kaiser testing standards.
- Reviews project status and milestones reports, provides justification for and first-level authorization for exceptions and waivers, and meets with IT and business stakeholders to address contingency plans, as appropriate.
- Work closely with other accessibility specialists and the Design System Team to promote consistent accessibility guidance.
- Generates scheduled reports (e.g., test execution, defects, ad hoc reports) and provides daily test execution metrics to IT teams and management, as appropriate.
- Initiates and evaluates required business process improvements in order to achieve business results and appropriate solutions for customers.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of accessibility testing experience.
- Expert knowledge on ARIA & WCAG Checklists.
- Minimum two (2) years SQA experience working across multiple IT domains or business units in a corporate setting.
- Expericence using shortcuts, keystrokes, testing with JAWS on Windows and VoiceOver for iOS and other assistive technologies.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field and Minimum eight (8) years experience in SQA, software testing or related field. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. In lieu of Bachelor’s Degree additional 3 years related work experience for a total of 10 years will be required
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (2) years experience working with aXe Core or Deque Axe DevTools for HTML.
- Three (3) years experience working with Agile methodology for system or software testin
- Two (2) years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above)
- Three (3) years experience in a leadership role of a large matrixed organization.
- Three (3) years experience working with IT/Tools vendors.
- Four (4) years experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of software development life cycle(s) (SDLC).
- Three (3) years experience writing technical documentation in a software testing or quality assurance environment.
- Two (2) years experience working in and defining the requirements for healthcare testing environments.
- Two (2) years experience testing and defining the requirements testing business system applications.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field.
- Quality Assurance Institute (QAI) or American Society for Quality (ASQ) or similar certification.
