Job Description
The Workday HCM Functional Analyst is responsible for configuring and supporting key modules within Workday’s People Experience ecosystem, including Recruiting, Onboarding, Talent, and Learning. This role ensures HR business processes are scalable, compliant, and user-friendly across the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
System Configuration & Support:
- Configure Recruiting, Onboarding, Talent, and Learning modules in Workday.
- Maintain job requisitions, onboarding workflows, learning structures, and review settings.
- Manage security roles and business processes tied to these modules.
Issue Triage & Operational Excellence:
- Resolve issues related to job postings, onboarding, and learning assignments.
- Escalate complex system issues and identify root causes.
- Monitor trends and identify opportunities to optimize configuration.
Testing & Documentation:
- Create and run test scripts for system releases and enhancements.
- Maintain documentation of updates, process flows, and audit records.
Reporting & Data Quality:
- Validate data accuracy across candidate and employee lifecycle stages.
- Support talent reporting needs and KPIs in collaboration with analytics teams.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Translate business needs into system solutions in partnership with HR teams.
- Provide user support and documentation for process rollouts.
- Coordinate with other PIT analysts to ensure cross-functional module handoffs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, HRIS, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years supporting Workday HCM with experience in at least 2 modules (Recruiting, Talent, Onboarding, Learning).
- Experience in configuration, process management, and data validation.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong functional knowledge of HCM processes.
- Analytical mindset with attention to system usability and data integrity.
- Effective communicator and collaborator with HR stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and experienced in multi-module testing environments.
- Coding using XML, particularly via EIB and the Integration Builder.
- Strong understanding of the SDLC, the ability to advise IT teams on Workday-specific integration patterns, and familiarity with integration best practices.
- Broader coding experience (e.g., Python, JavaScript)
