Job Description
The Workday Integration Specialist is a key technical resource responsible for supporting the deployment and ongoing operation of Workday integrations. This bilingual role (English and Spanish) focuses on building, maintaining, and testing inbound and outbound integrations using Workday tools such as Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, XML, XSLT, and web services. The position ensures accurate data flow, system alignment, and integration readiness in collaboration with internal HR, IT, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Workday Integration Development & Maintenance:
- Build, test, and maintain Workday integrations using EIB and Workday Studio.
- Configure XML and XSLT templates using Oxygen XML Developer or similar tools.
- Design and troubleshoot Web Services (SOAP and REST) integrations for third-party systems.
- Ensure compliance with Workday data models and integration architecture.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across environments.
Project & Testing Support:
- Partner with HRIS and IT teams to support testing cycles (UAT, regression).
- Collaborate with external Workday consultants to validate specs and alignment.
- Support post-deployment stabilization of live integrations.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate technical topics clearly to Spanish and English-speaking stakeholders.
- Document integration logic, error handling, and mapping procedures.
System Alignment & Compliance:
- Ensure integrations meet internal governance, data privacy, and compliance policies.
- Work with IT security to validate secure data transfers (SFTP, API), including encryption, authentication methods, and data mapping integrity.
Knowledge Sharing & Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to integration knowledge base and documentation.
- Recommend improvements to integration architecture and practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in database or system integration work.
- Experience with Workday Studio and EIB preferred.
- Proficiency in XML, XSLT, and Oxygen XML Developer.
- Experience with Web Services (SOAP/REST) protocols.
- Familiarity with Workday object models and integration architecture.
- Experience managing inbound and outbound integration lifecycles.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (B2 or higher).
